SABER Data Quality Status
Good confidence in retrieved temperatures up to ~95 km - NLTE data especially important outside the tropics NLTE O3 agrees with HALOE to within ~ 20% for ~ 20 km to 60 km. High bias in the mesosphere with respect to HALOE. Very good agreement between SABER 1.27m and 9.6m O3 LTE H2O in the stratosphere biased high with respect to HALOE Broad scale O3 and H2O morphology appears to be reasonable Radiance and volume emission rate quality is excellent Retrievals using line mixing and optimized pressure registration window provides significant improvements
