School Hours: *Before Care: 7:00 am – 8:00 am (must register prior to first day of school). *Students not enrolled in before care can enter school *At 7:50am for breakfast *Dismissal is at 3:00pm *After Care 3:00pm – 6:30pm *Students cannot be left alone if not registered in before/after care.

Absences and Tardies *Make sure your child is in class on time on a daily basis. *Students need to be in their seats by 8:20am. *Make sure when your child is absent, you send a note to excuse his/her absence.

*Morning Journal *Reading *Writing *Lunch 10:30-11:00am *Bathroom Break *Math *Science *P.E. *Social Studies *Dismissal 3:00pm SPECIALS: *Students will have Art, Music, PE, and Spanish on a weekly basis. Recess is twice a week.

Curriculum: Common Core
Reading/Writing *Students retell stories, including key details, understanding the moral/lesson of the story. *Students ask and answer questions about key details in the text. *Students use illustrations and details in a text to describe key ideas. *Students name a topic and supply facts about the topic. *Students provide some sense of closure. *Spelling/High-Frequency Words *Vocabulary *Reading/Language Arts interactive notebook

Home Learning: *Homework will be given on a daily basis.
*Students are responsible for copying their homework in their Agenda on a daily basis. *Students NEED to practice Spelling/Sight/Vocabulary Words on a DAILY basis! *Students are required to use iStation for Reading and Math (30 minute sessions twice a week for each subject). *Please check the homework on the school site on a weekly basis for important information.

*Consequences *Unacceptable behavior will result in loss of privileges (field trips, class parties, recess time, etc.) *Check your child’s agenda daily for any teacher notes sent home.
