“Prove to be my disciples” (John 15:5-8) “Abide in my word” “Bear much fruit” Peter and John heal a crippled man (Acts 3-4) The miracle was public and obvious (Acts 3:1-10) Sadducees were annoyed, but couldn’t deny the miracle (Acts 4:14-16, 21-22) Recognized that Peter and John had been with Jesus (Acts 4:13) They proved to be Jesus’ disciples

Our works and our fruits will reveal the truth False prophets recognized by fruits (Matt. 7:15-20) How we live reveals if we are of God (I John 3:4-10) True faith is observable and has an impact on others

Faith evident before the saints Timothy’s progress evident (I Tim. 4:12-16) Good example, good report (I Thess. 1:6-10) Motivating and encouraging (II Thess. 1:3-4) Worthy of the gospel (Philip. 1:27-28) Give cause for thanks (Philemon 1:4-7)

Faith evident before the world Let your light shine (Matt. 5:14-16) Cause Gentiles to glorify God (I Peter 2:12) Convert an unbelieving husband (I Peter 3:1-2) Change will attract notice (I Peter 4:1-4) Don’t give enemies a cause to blaspheme (Rom. 2:23-24; Ezek. 36) Walk in wisdom, speak with grace (Col. 4:5-6)

“It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.” (Gal. 2:20) Is your faith evident? Are you proving that you’re Christ’s disciple? Do others recognize that you’re with Jesus?
