ACADEMICS/ELIGIBILITY
Arundel student athletes held a 3.39 GPA for all sports in through the 3rd marking period. Academics are the priority of the Athletic Department. Study hall opportunities and tutoring are available to all students throughout the year. All 9th grade students are eligible to start the school year in August.
14
ACADEMICS/ELIGIBILITY CONT….
By the end of the every quarter, students need to have a 2.0 GPA. All students must maintain a 2.0 GPA ,with no more than 1 E on their report card to be eligible for athletics at Arundel. If a student does not reach this expectation, they have a chance to regain eligibility at academic study hall on a 16 day probation period. This is a drop dead date at the start of every season. If the student does not regain eligibility at this period they are ineligible for the remainder of the season. No exceptions.
15
ACADEMICS/ELIGIBILITY CONT….
If a student becomes ineligible during a sports season, they are disqualified from all team activities for the remainder of the season. It is the responsibility of the student to know their personal eligibility status prior to trying out for any team at Arundel. Make academics the focus of your student’s high school career.
