The answer to Job’s Trial
The book of Job Job lived in the land of Uz around the time of Abraham 2,000 BC. The book of Job is a poem which conveys emotion; it is full of drama, dialogue and references to nature.

The story of Job Job 1:8 The lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, there is none like him in the earth…perfect and upright? Job 1:11 Put forth thine hand and touch all that he has, and he will curse thee to thy face. Job 2:5 Put forth thine hand and touch his bone and his flesh and he will curse thee to thy face.

The Story of Job Lost job; sheep, cattle, oxen, camels, financial ruin. Lost children (7 sons, 3 daughters). Sickness, boils from head to toe. Couldn’t understand why it happened to him, because he was righteous. God rewards the righteous and punishes the wicked. Job’s fiends believed that Job must deserve this punishment from God (miserable comforters).

What changed Job’s position, what did he learn that caused him to be twice as blessed in the end? What did he fail to realize for 37 chapters? What can help us with things we are waiting for and help us understand when we or others go through a trial like Job?

Conclusion Job 42:1 Then Job answered the Lord and said, I know you can do all things, no thought or purpose of yours can be thwarted (opposed). Job 42:10 …the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. James 5:11 .. You have heard of the patience of Job and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful and of tender mercy. Psalm 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: and he delighteth in his way.

New Testament Purpose Rom 8:28 .. All things work together for good.. to them who are called according to his purpose. 1 Pet 1:7 trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perishes. 1Cor 10:13 will with the trial make a way to escape, that you may be able to bear it. John 16:24 .. ask and you shall receive that your joy may be full. 2Cor 12:9 ..my grace is sufficient for you: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.
