Perhaps a funny memory of a vacation or a first in your life. (First ball game, first time playing an instrument or riding a bike) You should have enough details to be able to share the story as a poem. LIFE EVENT SOME NOTES ABOUT THIS 1. The Trip Dad and I took an adventure We began our journey across the country, 3 days to get there 3,000 miles to travel. “No sleeping,” said Dad. He wanted me awake, Those long 15 hour days. I sure did have to eat a lot of sugar. “I see I spy,” he would say And I knew it was time to play a game. If only my dog could talk, Then I could sleep. 3 days later we saw, “Welcome to California”. We were almost there! My excitement grew as we pulled up to my new home. I felt like a little girl in a candy store.
