Critical repairs to structure due to foundation failure and severe corrosion of steel arch. Current restrictions on mainline speeds with early warning system integrated with signalling system. Hybrid shotcrete & structural steel solution designed to provide a permanent solution. Flooding risk during construction period. Construction commenced late Sept 2006 Scheduled construction period 2 months Scheduled removal of restrictions early Dec 2006

Located 25km south of Casino Constructed in 1925. Structural steel imported from Scotland. Overall 505m long, 127 x 3.5m spans. 40/40 speed restrictions imposed since 1997. All repairs works to be As Traffic Permits (ATP). TEJV solution pre-cast concrete ballast-top Fabrication of culverts commenced Sep 06 Scheduled construction period 6 months Scheduled removal of speed restrictions mid-07
