3. Background Info Crane capacity: double hooks, 30T and 5T
Hook heights: 303 IN., 30t; 324 IN. APPROX, 5T
“dewar 3” = 6.1 m deep, sits 0.9 m above floor, is 710 mm inner diameter
Plan assumes 4785 mm overall cold mass length

5. Overall System Configuration
“ILC Service Cryostat” = self-contained heat exchanger, connected to LHe supply, LN2 supply, Nash Pump, etc.
Transfer Line connects the two
Vertical Dewar = 24KA vapor cooled leads, 1.9K, 1 atm vessel, 4.5K LHe “thermal shield”, insulating vacuum, instrumentation, etc.

Remove Lifting Ring
Lower Up-Righted Cold Mass into Wiring Stand

12. Lower Magnet To Final Position In Wiring Stand
Solder main leads
Connect Hypertronics, etc.
Lower Cold Mass Assembly Onto Wiring Stand

13. Install 1.9K vessel Into Vertical Dewar (1 time only)
Existing Vertical Dewar
New Vacuum Jacketed 1.9K Vessel
Install 1.9K Vessel Into Vertical Dewar On Temporary Support Rings

14. Install cold mass into dewar
Lower Magnet Into 1.9K Vessel
Bolt Lambda Plug to 1.9K Vessel
Connect vacuum line
Connect He fill line
Remove Temporary Support Ring And Lower cold mass, 1.9K Vessel Into Dewar

15. Service cryostat connections
Install Transfer Line Vacuum Jacketed Elbow
Connect 1.9K Line
Install Vacuum Jacket Closure
Install Heat Shield
