Many hospitalized patients exhibit warning signs in the hours prior to a critical situation (e.g., cardiopulmonary arrest) If not recognized could lead to the patient’s death “Failure to rescue”

12 More Confident Nurses Anecdotal reports from nurses (especially those with less than 5 years' experience) suggest they feel more confident when contacting a physician about a patient, as they now have objective data on which to base their concerns.
