1 Local Government Community Grant Makers Network
Jared Osborne, Policy Coordinator Community Sustainability, VLGA Represent and support Councils Mention MAV too - they are active in supporting Councils with e-commerce.

2 What is the Network? The network is a professional interest group comprising local government sector staff and councillors who have responsibility for and/or an interest in community grantmaking The VLGA (Victorian Local Governance Association) and play a coordinating role

3 How was it developed? Formed out of a Grant Making conference in Canberra in 2004 The Power of Lunch! VLGA review of grantmaking recommended the development of a network

4 What does the Network do?
Shares information and promotes discussions between local councils Identifies common issues across councils Promotes best practice in the field of community grantmaking

5 The Network so far… Grantmaking as a Community Strengthening Process
Making Community Grants More Accessible to CALD Communities Risk Management - Ensuring accountability while getting the most from your grant
