5 What is hate? Lk. 6:22; Ezek. 18:23, 32 Pleasure in suffering or sin of others, absence of love Prov. 6: Strong opposition to (enemy of) Jn. 12:25 Contrasts the degree of devotion

Sometimes the cross we must carry is losing the approval of our family to have God’s approval— are you willing? 3. life Lk. 14:26 (Jn. 12:25) a. What are you willing to do to enjoy life and accomplish your personal goals in this world (marry, have that job-house, give your children---)? b. Jesus was willing to let His life in this world (and the associated joys and opportunities) end, so that His Father would be pleased.
