SORBA formed in 1988 when Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield’s trails
were closed to
mountain bikes

4. R KFL The first chapter was Formed in 1996 in Gainesville, GA to
steward trails at
Chicopee Woods.
By 2008, there were
24 chapters in 6
states.

Now, as the Southeastern Division of IMBA, SORBA has 34 chapters in 6 states. We continue to grow.

IMBA-SORBA supports outdoor human-powered recreation. We believe that the best, healthiest way to experience our public lands is from the seat of a bicycle.

Riding a bike on public lands requires that you have trails. IMBA-SORBA builds and maintains those trails.

IMBA-SORBA builds and fosters the relationships that allow those trails to be built. We bring experience, value and resources to our partnerships.
