I love learning and I love school (when it’s not busy work) I LOVE READING!!! I feel every kid can love reading too, it’s just a matter of developing the tools that help them to read more effectively Taylor I have always loved teaching people things Played school like nobody’s business Want to make learning MEANINGFUL and ENJOYABLE so there is more value behind education

8 Strategy: Vocabulary Swap
GOAL: Exposure and practice with challenging vocabulary words in a fun, engaging way STUDENT ROLE: Choose words they find challenging out of a story read with the class and create a game using them. STUDENT CHOICE is key here. TEACHER ROLE: Explain instructions and guide students as needed through process.

10 Some tips To maximize student experience while playing the game, here are a few tips: Remind children to use synonyms that are more simple and more common (therefore easier to recognize) for the Synonym Lifeline. For the Context Clue Lifeline, perhaps have children use the sentence in the book where the word occurs. Children can refer to their “Chapter Word List” worksheet in order to find the page where the word in question is.
