Energy Transformation in Electrical Circuits
E.Q. - How are the different types of energies transformed in electrical circuits? An Electrical Circuit: A source of electricity conducted in a wire. The WIRE is a conductor and carries an electrical current. There must be a device that transforms electrical energy. Ex: Light bulb or Radio.

Must be connected in a complete path for transformation to occur.
E.Q. - How are the different types of energies transformed in electrical circuits? Must be connected in a complete path for transformation to occur. A Switch controls the flow of electricity. Open circuit = electricity will not flow (light is off) Closed circuit = electricity will flow (light is on)

Sources of Electricity in a circuit:
E.Q. - How are the different types of energies transformed in electrical circuits? Sources of Electricity in a circuit: Batteries (stored chemical energy) Solar Cell (light from the sun) Wall Outlets - this energy comes from generators in power plants. Ex: Burning fuels (chemical) Hydroelectric (mechanical )
