Moved to June COF meeting When a computer is turned off, what is in the computer's memory disappears. So memory cannot store information persistently. To do that, computers use drives. The bigger the drive, typically the hard drive, the more information the computer can hold. Memory is where the computer places and processes the information on which it is working.
