Respond to the following:
Draw two vector components that can be added/subtracted to find the resultant. Include numbers and the value of the resultant.

2. Vector Map Activity
Objective: You will work with a partner during this activity to write directions to a chosen destination (your choice within reason). Then, you will mix up the directions and see if another group can reach the destination.
Vector: magnitude & direction
You will need: paper, pencils, & meter stick

3. Instructions Decide on a starting point and an end point.
Write 10 specific step by step instructions (i.e. walk 4 meters North, or walk 1.5 meters West)
Do not number your instructions.
When you are finished, mix up the instructions and trade with another group.
The only thing the new group should know is where to start and what direction you established as 0 degrees (East). Let them figure out the rest!

4. Discussion Were you able to reach the correct end point?
What factors made it difficult?
Did it matter what order the directions were given in?
What if you changed your starting point? Would that effect the end point?
How does this apply to vector addition?
