1. Depending on which drug coding system is used, cefazolin could be represented in a variety of different ways. Notice that the NDC codes are product specific, so the same product by a different manufacturer or in a different dose/package size will have a different NDC. The ATC system can identify individual drugs but does not distinguish between manufacturers, doses, or package sizes. Although the AHFS system can identify varying levels of drug categories, it does not identify unique drugs.
