A single camera production is when one single camera is used on a shoot, rather than multiple. This is commonly used on the set of a short film, as they would tend to have shorter scripts, or it could possibly be due to a small budget.

Series: A series has a set number of episodes that would be broken up and separated, from different seasons. Television series typically follow a continuous story line, that would span through the entire series. They generally tend to be multi camera, as this allows the filmmakers to shoot more quickly.
