This could be a feature, review of a restaurant, book, or car. Alternatively, you might find an extended piece of writing in a blog. You may be able to find an article of interest by using one of the following links: If your article is online, print it out. Next, annotate the article or blog post. Highlight words or phrases that you think are interesting or distinctive. For example, you might annotate features that make the writing informal or formal, humorous or serious, or that show it is for a niche (specialist or expert) audience. When you take your Language Variation exam paper, the skill of closely analysing a text in this way will be very important.
