2. What is Energy? Energy is a power source.
Energy is essential for everyday life.
Energy is used for powering a lot of supplies.

3. Why use less electricity?
To save money.
To prevent health hazards.
To prevent burning coal, oil, etc for making electricity.

4. What we did?
Our class did a research on leaving electrical appliances on standby. Leaving appliances on standby wastes electricity and increases the total of your electrical bill.
First, we found out how long we leave certain electrical appliances on standby.
Once we find that out, we find out how much power we use in a day, in a year and how many kilowatts we use in a year.
After, we find out how much each appliance costs and we add all the costs of the appliances to get a total cost of money we are wasting.
Next, we use our information and put into a table using Microsoft Excel.
After we have put all the information in a table, we have another task to complete.

5. What we did? We have to find out which deal to pay the bill is better:
Pay every 3 months (Saving 4% on each bill)
Pay monthly (Saving 3% on each bill)
To find out the “Pay every 3 months” deal, we take our yearly bill and divide it by 4.
After finding out our answer, we multiply our answer by 0.04 (4%).
Next, we take away our first answer (?/4) from our second answer (?/0.04).
After finding out our answer we multiply it by 4.
That is how much we pay every 3 months.
To find out the “Pay monthly” deal, we take our yearly bill and divide it by 12.
After finding out our answer, we multiply our answer by 0.03 (3%).
Next, we take away our first answer (?/12) from our second answer (?/0.03).
After finding out our answer we multiply it by 12.
That is how much we pay monthly.

6. What we found out?
When I did my research, the “pay every 3 months” deal was better than the “pay monthly” deal.
