Determine follow-up services, and—for those who qualify—financial assistance. Assist with Recovery planning Locate other agency support

This assistance will be made available through a debit card, PayPal account or electronic recovery funds transfer.

RECOVERY Caseworkers will verify: Person’s identity
Number of people in the household; Cross-check the person’s information with federal disaster registration records; Validate the flooding damage to their home.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE Red Cross assistance will be available to those who meet both of the following criteria: (1) They do not qualify for federal disaster assistance; and; (2) They have had major damage or their home has been destroyed. For those who qualify, we will provide $125 per person. (For example, a family of four will receive $500.)

RECOVERY This assistance can help families begin their recovery by providing funds which can be used for such needs as an apartment deposit, to buy clothes or food, or to cover immediate transportation expenses.

RECOVERY For those who do not qualify for financial assistance, Red Cross caseworkers can help to create recovery plans and locate assistance from other agencies. Long-term Recovery Convener Partner with other agencies to assist with clients who may not qualify

Loss of Family Member For those families who suffered the loss of a family member due to the Hurricane, we have supported via our Integrated Care Condolence Teams, Mental Health Health Services Spiritual Care Financial support for burial costs
