1 Global Warming By, A. E.

2 Global warming effects animals such as:
Polar bears, penguins, sea creatures, and more!

3 What causes global warming ?
The temperature increasing, the burning of fossil fuels (CO2), and the greenhouse effect are the most common reasons. What it’s made of: Where it goes:

4 the greenhouse effect:
//.. So you know how a greenhouse traps heat to grow plants inside of it in cold areas? Well, the greenhouse effect is similar to that. Basically, CO2 and other gases get trapped in the atmosphere where very few of the gases can get out, and most of the heat is trapped also keeping the heat inside the blanket like atmosphere. Making the heat repeatedly bounce back to Earth.

5 Facts on global warming:
Sea levels have risen about 4 to 8 inches over the past century! Almost all of global warming is caused by human factors! It can effect human and animal health! Millions of trees are cut down each year! Droughts and floods! The ozone layer is being destroyed! Loss of land. Burning of fossil fuels. Temperatures and climates. Trees absorb carbon dioxide. Lots of damage. By greenhouse gases. (see next slide)

7 How to slow down/stop global warming:

8 Introduction: Here’s a simple definition of global warming: heat from the sun is trapped in a layer of the atmosphere not able to get out causing it to stay in the blanket and continue to heat the earth . It is slowly, but surely, heating the Earth. Causing millions of problems.

9 But we can stop global warming here are three causes, effects, and conclusions.

10 One thing that causes global warming is the burning of fossil fuels
One thing that causes global warming is the burning of fossil fuels. We humans are most responsible for that. We use our cars that burn fossil fuels. The effect on this,is that it releases greenhouse gases into our atmosphere destroying the ozone layer. In conclusion, walk when you can, and use a bicycle when you can. Fossil Fuels Being Burned:

11 Rising Sea Levels: A second cause is the sea levels rising. It melts icecaps, glaciers, and more causing sea level to rise. This effects land, it can go below sea level causing it to flood cities, homes, stores, etc. To help stop this we can reduce power in our homes, burn less fossil fuels, and recycle. The higher the temperature is the higher the sea levels! At about the end of the century most of South Florida will be underwater!

12 Temperatures: Now, number three. Obviously the temperature, this is caused when greenhouse gasses, fossil fuels, and carbon dioxide go up into the atmosphere. This keeps the Sun’s rays in the atmosphere heating up the Earth. This effects human and animal health along with plant life, like diseases, heat strokes, and climate changes. In conclusion, we can help by using low carbon energy.
