5 Assessment Details in the Diploma Programme
The IB assesses student work as direct evidence of achievement against the stated goals of the Diploma Program (DP) courses. These exams (both internal & external) measure the extent to which students have mastered advanced academic skills. For example: analyzing and presenting information evaluating and constructing arguments solving problems creatively Basic skills are also assessed, including: retaining knowledge understanding key concepts applying standard methods Student assessments are scored (1-7) by performance against set standards, not by each student's position in the overall rank order.

6 Exams and College Credit
Students who attempt the “FULL DIPLOMA” will take 3 subjects at higher level (HL) and 3 at standard level (SL). HL and SL courses differ in scope but are measured according to the same grade descriptors, with HL students expected to demonstrate a greater body of knowledge, understanding and skills at higher level. In the 12th grade, at the end of the second year of their DP Course(s), students will take an DP exam. As a result of their scores on these exams, University or College credit may be awarded. NOTE: It is extremely important to refer to the individual university/college website for details on the advanced credit(s) offered by each institution.
