My character was a grumpy old man from Scotland
My character was a grumpy old man from Scotland. I used a rough, aggressive tone to show how angry and grumpy he was all the time. I used a low pitch to emphasise that I was playing a man and that he was grumpy. I used a slight stammer and did not fully articulate my words to show that the character was old. I mainly used a loud volume as the character was old and a bit deaf but also to show his grumpiness. I used a Glaswegian accent to show where he was from.

HOW DID I USE THIS VOCABULARY TO BEST DESCRIBE HOW I USED MOVEMENT TO PORTRAY THIS CHARACTER?

My character used a walking stick as a prop and used this to make big gestures to threaten people, showing his grumpy character. I walked at a slow pace and with my shoulders hunched over showing poor posture to emphasise his age. My body language was closed, arms crossed to highlight his unfriendly personality. I made strong eye contact with all other characters to show that I was trying to intimidate them. To show my grumpy character through facial expressions, I was constantly frowning and scrunching my nose.
