Evaporation of Salt Solution

My Claim My claim is that the salt and water would sink into the paper and would harden again. The evidence shows that the salt was left behind. The salt got transformed into the white dots on the paper. The paper did harden again after the sogginess from the water.

Appearance of Drops Before Evaporation
Appearance of Drops After Evaporation Conclusion When we added the salt into the water it tasted more sour than regular water The water wasn’t there anymore but there were white dots where the water drops were I learned that the water particles evaporated and left the salt particles behind. When we mixed the liquid with the solid it looked dirtier almost like a puffy gray cloud Instead of the drops being completely gone, the white dots were still a little moist where the drops were Where did the water go? It transformed into a gas and left the salt behind. When we put the salt into the cup of water it dissolved quickly and the particles mixed The paper isn’t exactly the same from the day before. It’s bumpier, smells salty, the ends curled up, only the middle of the paper touches the surface, and it feels thinner What did the salt leave behind? The white spots are proof that the white salt was left behind. When we got the dropper and put water into it the liquid immediately changed its shape It changed into the shape of the dropper When we put the drops of water onto the black construction paper it turned into a shiny black water drop. The paper got wet and soggy The black is from the black piece of construction paper underneath. The water’s still clear but black is a darker color and is taking up the clear color of the water

We used salt, a spoon, a dropper, a glass of water, hand lens, and a piece of black construction paper

These are some pictures of what we did
