Introduction What is CMS Central?
CMS Central is a dispatch server that bridges between DVRs / IP Cameras and CMS Clients. CMS Central serves as an agent that gathers data from its connected DVRs / IP Cameras and distributes to CMS Clients. EX: Event Function (LAN Only) – CMS Central receives event/alive signals from DVRs / IP Camera and transfer to connected CMS Clients
3
Introduction Why is CMS Central necessary?
CMS Central reduces the loading of DVRs / IP Cameras because CMS Clients connect to CMS Central instead. CMS Clients can directly playback from database of CMS Central, which reduces network occupancy of DVRs/IP Cameras.
