Sample: 8,462 primary care physicians surveyed in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland, U.K., and U.S. (1,012) US doctors increasingly use health information technology, though continue to lag behind leading countries. US doctors report patients often have difficulty affording care, and that the time spent dealing with coverage restrictions poses a major problem All countries struggle with communication and teamwork across fragmented health care systems UK doctors stand out in receiving feedback on their performance, including clinical outcome data For US, findings point to importance of reforms to support primary care, teamwork and information exchange to improve care experiences, outcomes and lower costs
