5 Themes of Geography Google the phrase, “5 Themes of Geography” to get you started This year you are going to review these ideas by teaching us about 1 of the 5 themes The possibilities are limitless You can create a game You can create a slides presentation You can create a poster These are just ideas, feel free to come up with your own way to share this information You will need to come up with an assignment for your classmates to complete to see if they have learned this material You will work with partners on this project

How do humans and the environment affect each other? We depend on it.- Definition= We rely on it People depend on the Tennessee River for water & transportation. We modify it.- Definition= We change it Modify environment by heating/cooling buildings We adapt to it.- Definition= We deal w/it Wearing clothing suitable for summer & winter Rain and shine

5 Themes of Geography We have learned about the 5 Themes of Geography before in social studies class. You are creating a waterfall book Then you will create a google slides collage on 1 of the 5 Themes of Geography and depict this all in pictures In the google slides you will need to create pictures that represent the following items The definition of the theme Ea. part of theme Ex. Location- Absolute & Relative location Examples of ea. theme Ex. Movement- Human Movement=Traveling by train to Chicago
