Hi, I am Mrs. Schmahl. I have been
teaching for the last 10 years. I truly love helping children grow and develop a sense of wonder about the world. I care very deeply for my students and am glad to have your child in my class!

We use Class Dojo in our room
We use Class Dojo in our room. It rewards positive behavior and lets students know when they lose a point. I normally give them a chance but if it continues or is extremely disruptive, I will remove points. The goal is for them to notice behaviors that they have trouble with and learn to recognize them. When they hit milestones the students will receive brag tags as a reward. I also do Treasure Box from time to time. The reports help you as a parent see where your child struggles as well as positive things about your child. You want your child to get to between 80%-100% for behavior weekly. This is shown on the “Dojo Donut”.
