Use the textbooks to make notes under the following headings;

Protection Methods
Preparation Methods

Extension: Describe with diagrams, explain with connectives and evaluate the effectiveness of each method

4. 5-7 Group Task Organise the cards in to the following categories;
Predicting hazards
Protection people from the effects of hazards
Preparation of resources and people
Rank each column from most to least expensive
Select one from each column and evaluate how it works, how effective it is and how much work/money would be required to apply the method
Give scores to each method for a specific factor; money required, effectiveness, ease of application, level of education required.
