What is genetic engineering?
“Genetic engineering, also called genetic modification, is the direct manipulation of an organism's genome using biotechnology” Wikipedia. This is completed by fusing or making hybrids of the cells. There are 4 main ways to do this 1. A vector system, which is like a vehicle for the new 2. Micro and macro injection. Macro/Micro injection is a technique that uses a very small glass pipe to manually inject new DNA/info into eggs of a different organism. What is genetic engineering?

What is genetic engineering?
Other broad definitions of genetic engineering include… Synthetic Biology Stem cell research Selective breeding in plants and animals What is genetic engineering?
5
GMO’s in genetic engineering
Transgenic GMO stands for genetically modified organism Plants, animals and other organisms like bacteria and viruses that are modified for vaccinations. GMO’s in genetic engineering

Genetic engineering in the future
Because of our genes we can suffer from diseases. The possibility in the future. There are certain genes that can help protect against certain diseases such as AIDS or cancer, Malaria gene therapy which involves injecting different slightly modified viruses into patients you can go to the doctors and in similar way that you get vaccines get given a gene that helps your immune system Genetic engineering in the future

Something that could happen in the foreseeable future are designer babies
It could be possible to pick the gender, eye colour or the height of your choice This could also help to screen and prevent genetic disorders and birth defects. Almost like Gattaca Continued
