LGBT and Beyond: Non-Normative Sexualities in Global Perspective

This course examines non-normative sexualities and genders around the world. The course will focus on the experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) individuals as well as those individuals across the world whose sexual/gender identities, practices and experiences may be less familiar to us. The course will examine the ways in which the lived experiences of LGBT individuals are related to intersecting identities such as race, class, religion, ability status, and more.
