Unto the angel of the Church in Sardis write; Rev. 3:1-6 1 These things saith He that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how thou hast Received and heard, and hold fast, and Repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. 4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.

11 500th Anniversary of the Reformation (Or Protestantism?)
31st October, 1517 – Martin Luther nailed his 95 Thesis to the door of a Roman Catholic Church in Wittenberg, Germany. The Reformation began at a time of spiritual darkness in Church History as the “dark ages” or the “Devil’s Millennium.” When Gregory the Great was crowned Pope in Rome in AD590 a new era began when the Church assumed secular power. In the 16th century Martin Luther was a Catholic Priest of the Augustinian Order who was deeply troubled by the sale of Indulgences by the Pope’s agent, Tetzel, who sold Indulgences to raise funds for the rebuilding of St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. An Indulgence supposedly gave Catholics a reduction in the penances that they had to do to atone for their sins and also in the punishment that a Catholic might receive in Purgatory.
