Better Because of the Battle
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Romans 8:37 (KJV)

Better Because of the Battle
Romans 8:37 says, “We are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” To conquer is to be victorious over an adversary. To be "more than a conqueror" means we not only achieve victory, but we are overwhelmingly victorious. We cannot win a war, without a fight. Spiritual Discipline is often built by going through conflicts, trouble and struggles. Trouble is necessary to settle and confirm externally what is in us internally. This is how we built our spiritual character.

Better Because of the Battle
What does it mean to be more than a conqueror?
4
Better Because of the Battle
Through every battle won, we recover missed or stolen opportunities and blessings, and gain new opportunities and blessings. We are much more than conquerors. We also obtain the spoils. When we are in the midst of tribulations and hardships, we are more than conqueror. Romans 8:28 (KJV) And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. [even in adverse circumstances ----]

Better Because of the Battle
How do will live victorious over the problems that come into our lives?
6
Better Because of the Battle
To be more than a conqueror means that before you ever get a problem, you already know you can overcome your problems through Christ. You live with confidence that He will never leave you nor forsake you. With this understanding , when the unexpected happens or you’re disappointed, you won’t be devastated by it because God is for YOU.

Better Because of the Battle
All the enemy wants to do is kill, steal and destroy what God wants us to have (John 10:10). He wants to diminish you – make you small-minded and small in spirit so you’ll live a small, frustrated life. We have power through the Holy Spirit to help us live right. You are not alone in this fight.

Better Because of the Battle
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecutions, or famine or nakedness or peril or sword? Rom. 8:35 (NKJV) In all these things we are much more than conquerors. John 10:27–29, Jesus said, "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand."

Better Because of the Battle
Satan is our adversary. He sends all kinds of life-defeating, joy-stealing attacks to threaten the well-being and faith of God's children. Many of those attacks are listed in Romans 8:35–39: trouble, hardship, persecution, famine, nakedness, and sword. Stand firm in our faith when those attacks come, reminding us that not only will we win in the end, but Jesus enables us to win. Satan lacks the power to steal our eternal destiny, and he cannot separate us from the love of God that He showed when He sent His Son to die for our sins.

Better Because of the Battle
To be more than conquerors means we face the trials of life with the certainty that we are not alone. We have a mighty Father who fights for us. Ps. 23:4-Yea, though I walk through the shadow of death I will fear no evil; for You are with me… We can approach the darkest valleys with confidence, knowing that nothing can happen to us that is not permitted by our loving Father for our good.
11
Better Because of the Battle
When we repent our sins are forgiven and no attempt of the enemy can steal the loving care of God from our lives. That makes us more than conquerors through Christ who loves us. We are better because of the battle, because being much more than a conqueror means a triumph so complete that we not only escape defeat and destruction, but we also destroy our enemy and his obstacles, and win the spoils.
