Welcome Objectives 3rd Grade AIM Curriculum Class Times Donation List
Carrie Sledge, G/ T Specialist at Green Elem. Room 129 Welcome This is going to be an exciting year! I am happy to be back at school and can’t wait until our AIM classes start! This is my 22nd year in education and at GREEN! WOW I am old! I have a daughter, Ellen, who is in 6th grade here. I love learning new things and crave creativity, and can’t wait to learn with, and from, your children. I hope that you find this year brings many new experiences to you and your child and that the skills your child works on in AIM will prepare them for future learning in and outside of the classroom! Follow our journey on Twitter! @GreenGTAim Curriculum Allen ISD has implemented the gifted education curriculum by the College of William and Mary which is project based. This year our integrated unit of study is Ancient Greece. We will be studying the Ancient Grecian culture and comparing it to our own community to learn how systems of geography, government, economics, and language interact. The main goals of the unit are listed below. Each student will have the opportunity to research, contribute to discussions and present various projects throughout the year. In addition, activities focusing on critical/creative problem solving in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics will be implemented. Investigations may vary depending on grade level. Donation List The items listed below are materials we will need in AIM for this year.
