# 2 STATE COUNCIL & CHAPTER FINANCIAL SUPPORT PAYMENT (CFSP) Payment (CFSP) STATE COUNCILS - Pays each state council at least $2000 per year based on SHRM membership in state. (4,000 SHRM members in state = $4,000; 1,500 members in state = $2,000) THERE IS NO CAP! CHAPTERS – 100% Chapters receive $25/year/chapter SHRM member and Non-100% Chapters receive $10/year SHRM pays chapters and councils several million per year in financial support. STATE COUNCIL & CHAPTER CERTIFICATION PAYMENTS
Chapters will receive a $20 payment for every SHRM member in their chapter who holds a SHRM certification at the end of the calendar year for 2015 and again in 2016. State Councils will receive a $10 payment for every SHRM member (in-chapter and at-large) who has a SHRM certification in their state at the end of the calendar year for 2015 and 2016. RESOURCES – State Council Financial Support Payment
$1 per SHRM Member per year Minimum $2,000 No cap!!!!! The program provides for an annual payment to eligible state councils of $1 per member based on the total number of SHRM national members in the state as of 9/30 of that year. Payment is made in the fourth quarter of the year. There is a minimum payout of $2,000 per state. Requirements To be eligible for the support payment, state councils are required to submit the SHRM Affliate Program for Excellence (SHAPE) Year-End Report by the required deadline and be in good standing. Appropriate Uses for Support Payments Attendance at SHRM Leadership Conference Attendance at state council meeting Attendance at your state leadership conference Incorporation State conference At-large initiatives Educational programming Promotion of the core leadership areas Legal and tax advice to ensure compiance with SHRM standards Initiatives to support the SHRM mission Student chapter or college relations intiatives Inappropriate uses of Support Paymets Lobbying activities Building financial reserves of the state council This program will be periodically evaluated and SHRM reserves the right to amend the program.
