Parliament tried to bail out the East India Tea Company (A British Tea Company) by giving it a Monopoly of the American Market.
The Sons of Liberty got involved and boycotted against the Act

They dumped over 342 chests of tea into the harbor
This was an act of Civil Disobedience (refusal to obey laws that are unjust)
