Curriculum Bien Dit 3 Textbook – chapters 1-8; parts of 9 and 10; there is a midterm (January) and a final (June) Topics: Vacations, past times and hobbies; the workplace; fables, fairytales and legends; love and friendship; the press and the media; nature, health and well-being; the environment; Francophone countries (colonization) and the European Union; family, society, values and fundamental rights; arts and sciences; Supplementary: Current events – French Newspapers; Official sites in French for news/employment; interviews with parents Literature (short stories; excerpts from classic literature; thematic discussions) Cultural Appreciation: Fine Arts, Music, Film, Sites and Monuments Oral Presentations: ; daily oral communication exercises; at least two formal oral presentations and one video project
