There is a tendency to think that Christianity is all about doing and getting things done.
Sometimes it’s about waiting and humbling ourselves before God.
Waiting is not easy.

3. Christians Are Sheep – Not Squirrels
“Hurry, hurry, scamper, scurry, Little squirrel all gray and furry. Find an acorn; crack it, crunch it, Nibble, nibble, munch, munch, munch it. Find another, fat and round, To bury quickly in the ground, Gather nuts – don’t stop to play! For winter winds are on their way.”

10. Waiting On God
Psalm 27:14 – “Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.”
With enemies all around
When surrounded by liars and false witnesses

11. Practice Soul Waiting…
Psalm 130:5 – “I wait for the Lord, my soul does wait, and in His word do I hope.”
When you feel like you are in the deepest depths of despair.

12. Gain Endurance
Hebrews 10:35-36 – “Therefore, do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God, you may receive what was promised.”

13. Just Be Still!
Psalm 46:1-3, 8-10 – God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains slip into the heart of the sea; though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride………

14. Just Be Still!
….Come, behold the works of the Lord, who has wrought desolations in the earth. He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariots with fire. “Cease striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

15. Be Humble Before God “Let me humble my pride and call on Your name…”
The message of God on the great day of atonement:
Leviticus 16:31 – “It is to be a Sabbath of solemn rest for you, that you may humble your souls; it is a permanent statute.”

Deuteronomy 8:11-18 – “Beware that you do not forget the Lord your God by not keeping His commandments…otherwise when you have eaten and are satisfied, and have built good houses…and when your herds and your flocks multiply and your silver and gold multiplies…then your heart will become proud and you will forget the Lord your God….In the wilderness He fed you manna which your fathers did not know, that He might humble you and that He might test you, to do good for you in the end….”

2 Corinthians 4: Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day.

21. Made Like Brand New
Revelation 21: And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”
