Jesus brings salvation to our broken souls
Savior Jesus brings salvation to our broken souls

3Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” 5Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.” John 3:3-8; 14-21

Salvation is the beginning of life anew and afresh
Salvation is the beginning of life anew and afresh. It is the beginning of our spiritual existence. Our rebirth is into the Kingdom of God. It is like physical birth in that God’s Spirit regenerates a dead soul into life. We begin to understand the gospel and respond to God with spiritual senses, like faith and hope and love. Born Again (John 3:3-8; 14-21)

53So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. 55For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 56Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. 57As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me. 58This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like the bread the fathers ate and died. Whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” John 6:53-58

14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. 16“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. 17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. 20For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. 21But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.” John 6:53-58

This passage is not concerning cannibalism
This passage is not concerning cannibalism. It concerns the unique connection we have with Christ in Communion and in daily living. The flesh of Jesus is like the manna that fell from heaven. His sacrifice feeds our souls with the vitality that we need to remain in Him. The blood of Jesus has the power to set our souls free from sin and death, and it is the lifesource of our spirits. Flesh and Blood (John 6:53-58)

1“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser
1“I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. 2Every branch in me that does not bear fruit he takes away, and every branch that does bear fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3Already you are clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. 4Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. 5I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. 6If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch and withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. John 15:1-6

Jesus is also our source for every spiritual need
Jesus is also our source for every spiritual need. When we stay connected to Him, we can do great things for God. Our fruit, or deeds, are a direct result of our relationship with Jesus. Without that relationship, we can’t do anything at all. Maintaining our relationship with Jesus is key when we want to do great things for God. He supplies the increase when we abide in Him. Vine and Branches (John 15:1-6)
