Elton John was a very talented young boy
He loved music and had a great ear and taught himself to play the paino He was an amazingly gifted young boy and even shocked his family by learning how to play the piano at the very young age of 3, he sat down and played “The SkatersWaltz” without any help or music, at the age of 3 he played a song completely by ear

Teenage Years At the age of 15 Elton joined his first band named “The Corvettes” they would would play at local hotels and small gigs to get there band started, but later the band decided to change the band name to “Bluesology” and the began to travel all around the UK doing gigs wherever that could, as mentioned before at the age of 20 Elton John decided to make his stage name

Stage Presence As one of the top acts of the 1970s, John became equally famous for his live shows. He dressed in fabulous, over-the-top costumes and glasses for his elaborate concerts. In an interview with W, John explained that "I wasn't a sex symbol like Bowie, Marc Bolan or Freddie Mercury, so I dressed more on the humorous side, because if I was going to be stuck at the piano for two hours, I was going to make people look at me."

Elton John's Career Elton John had a long career with Bernie Taupin
Bernie would write the songs and Elton would compose the music to accompany In 1967 Elton came into contact with who became a long time friend and work associate Bernie Taupin through an ad from Liberty Records. Ray Williams then introduced Elton John and Bernie and there working career began, A very interesting fact even up to this day, Bernie and Elton have never written a song in the same room together, in there early career they communicated and produced music through mail

Elton and Bernie didn't have immediate success, it took a year or so before they had a song that had any promise, “Your Song” Elton John didn't have immediate success in the music industry in 1969 Elton and Bernie Taupin released there first album together titled “Album Sky” it didnt catch on or really become that much of hit, but a year later in 1970 Elton found some success in his first real hit song titled “Your Song.” Elton John had plenty of #1 hits that soon followed this, many of the famous songs we all know such as, “Bennie and the Jets” “Crocodile Rock” and “Island girl” all had very great success,

Awards Elton John has had an amazing successful career filled with grammys and recognitions Elton has started a successful foundation to help others Elton John throughout his career has received many awards and had many songs top the charts throughout his career, in the 1990's Elton John won and Oscar and was nominated for several others for the music produced to accompany the film of “The Lion King” In 1994 Elton John was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and in the same year was inducted into the Songwriters hall of fame. In his native country in 1996 Queen Elizabeth II name Elton John, “Commander of the Order of the British Empire” and in 1998 he was knighted “Sir Elton John” for his contributions to the music world

“Benny and the Jets” Benny And the jets is a very upbeat song with piano guitar and drums playing as instruments. The chorus is very exciting, and including in the listening audience.

“Crocodile Rock” This song has very new and futuristic musical notes and repetitive chorus of upbeat music and exciting tones Quick notes with heavy sounds from the guitar paino and drums being played by the band

Very fun upbeat song with Elton John singing and accompanied by Kiki Dee. Accompanied by back up vocalists with up beat fast music and quick tones from the piano and other instruments
