Activities not yet clear: Open questions
New BGC system? New sectorization of BWS? What’s about AFP and Roman Pot? What’s about the BGIs? What's about the MQW modification in LSS7? Possible exchange of both LHC dump core? Support to EN-STI + Venting & pump down of CTD

VSC Activities for LS2 in the LSS
LSS 5 (possible also LSS1) Re-sectorization between TAN and D1 at 4L5 and 4R5 the objective is to be able to vent D1 without venting TAN (2.5 week of bakeout=3 to 4 weeks of intervention depending of the job) Current layout Proposed layout N.B.: Floor status need to checked in advance

VSC Activities & Consolidation ARCs
A global/partial leak detection of the PIMs should be planned with the Diode activities A complete consolidation of pumping ports with valves will be put in place on each ARCs Complete consolidation of pumping ports of SAMs that are in the same location of the pressure relive valves and aC coating of RF insert at the extremities. Endoscopy activities when requested and in 15R8 for ULO Plus standard RF ball and pump down and leak detection For mechanical activities like magnets exchange: VSC-DLM will be in charge

VSC Consolidation & Maintenances
LSS6: Complete the consolidation plans for the MKB: Installation of 2 additional TMP on Tank 1 and 5 Exchange/Inspection of some ion pumps Bake-out of accidental venting of vacuum sector IP6 and A4R6 during TS2 of 2016 LSS2 and LSS8: 1. Consolidation of the vacuum sector A6R8 & A6L2 for RF fingers problem Consolidation should be done in parallel to the TI2 and TI8 activities 2. Consolidation of all sector valves
23
LHC Experiments: ALICE
A prime goal of the ALICE Phase II upgrade is a significant improvement of the track impact parameter resolution: significantly reduce the beam pipe diameter and reduced wall thickness Design, procure and test beam vacuum equipment for new IP2 layout (including tooling, bake-out equipment etc.). Completely dismount IP2.X, A1L2.X (RB24) sector. Vent and partially dismount A1R2.X sector. Install new aluminium/beryllium central beam pipe. Install new vacuum layout in sector RB 24 and A1R2.X. NEG activation and re-commissioning of the sector. WP: EDMS
24
LHC Experiments: ATLAS
Primary goal of the ATLAS Phase II is to modify existing vacuum layout (LS1 installation) in order to allow installation of next detection layer. Also according to the ALARA principle implement remote actuation for vacuum chambers flanges and supports. VC1T supports modification (due to LS3 VAX) and corresponding JF shielding modification. Participate on opening/closing activities. Dismount VC1AP and VC1AX chambers, procure rebuild and perform vacuum testing. Install new vacuum layout with modified chambers. NEG activation and re-commissioning of the sector. WP: EDMS
25
LHC Experiments: LHCb A prime goal during the LS2 is to support LHCb during the VELO upgrade. This includes safe removal, re-installation and re- commissioning of UX85/1 – 4 vacuum chambers. Also according to the ALARA principle BVO, will replace upstream copper chamber with a new aluminium design. 1. Provide consultancy and support for VELO upgrade. 2. Temporary removal of UX85/1 – 4 chambers. 3. Replace upstream copper chamber with aluminium chamber. 4. Install an additional bake-out system on UX85/3 RICH2 section. 5. Re-install UX85/1 – 4 chambers. 6. NEG activation and re-commissioning. WP: EDMS
26
LHC Experiments: CMS Main goal of the CMS Phase II is to design, procure and install new ‘low-mass’ end-cap, forward, CT2 and IP beam pipes. Replacement of these chambers by aluminium thin-wall design and beryllium will meet aperture requirements for post-TOTEM period and in order with ALARA principle reduce radiation dose to personnel. Design, procure and test beam vacuum equipment for new IP5 layout (including tooling, bake-out equipment etc.). Participate on all opening/closing actions. Dismount existing endcap and forward chambers. Install new layout with aluminium chambers. NEG activation and re-commissioning of the sector. WP: EDMS
