2. WHAT IS TWITTER?
Twitter is an online news and social networking service where users post and interact with messages, "tweets", restricted to 140 characters. Registered users can post tweets, but those who are unregistered can only read them.
A “tweet” broadcasts your message to the world
One of the reasons Twitter is so popular is because it is rapid and easy to scan

3. BASIC TERMINOLOGY
Home – Your home timeline. Stream of tweets from other people that you have chosen to Follow
Follow – Subscribing to another person so that you get updated when they Tweet something new
Hashtag - Using the # symbol in front of any word or phrase tags your Tweets. When someone clicks that hashtag, she sees your Tweet along with everyone else’s Tweets using that same term.
@ - By placing symbol in front of a username you can tag another user so that they get notified.

4. HOW TO SIGN UP
Twitter can be used on a computer, on an iPhone, on an Android phone, and most other mobile devices with internet access
Get Twitter:
Computer: Open a web browser and go to twitter.com
iPhone or Android: go to the app store and download the Twitter app
Create an Account:
Click “Sign Up” on twitter.com or from within the twitter app
Enter your Name, your Phone Number or Address, and a password and then click Sign Up.

5. HOW TO FOLLOW
Before you can start following people you first need to find them
Computer: Type their name or username in the search box and click on the magnifying glass
iPhone or Android: Tap on the magnifying glass and then type in their name or username in the search box and tap on the magnifying glass
Once you find someone just click on the blue follow button
Computer: Move your mouse over their name to see the follow button
iPhone or Android: Tap on their name to see the follow button
After you start following a few people Twitter will start recommending more people for you to follow.
