Open Notebook Click on the Notebook button at the bottom of the Smart Podium The button that looks like a notebook with a pen just above the camera button

Once Notebook opens A blue dialog box may appear over Notebook Close the dialog box by clicking the red X

Once you have Notebook open, minimize it to the taskbar by clicking the minimize button

Now open PowerPoint Start>Academic Applications>Microsoft Office>PowerPoint Start your slideshow in presentation mode, e.g., SlideShow>From Beginning Once the slide show opens you can pick up the pen and annotate

Saving annotations for your students In the lower left hand corner of your PowerPoint you will see a three button selection Click on the middle button and select ‘Save ink drawings’ before you move to the next slide Then use the right arrow button to move to the next slide

Saving annotations for your students Do this with each and every slide At the end of your PowerPoint presentation select NO when asked if you want to save the drawings on your PowerPoint presentation

Creating the learning object Maximize Notebook from the taskbar of your computer You will find all of your slides with annotation in the notebook file Select File>Export>As PowerPoint Save the file to your flash drive and insert it as an item in your blackboard course site
