        In Mufaro's Beautiful Daughters, Murfaro and his daughters found out the king was looking for a beautiful woman to become his wife and queen. Manyara wanted to become the queen. However, her beautiful sister, Nyasha, was also going to meet the queen. So, Manyara snuck away to meet the king before her sister. Then, the king knew Manyara did not have a beautiful heart and, instead, chose Nyasha because of her inward beauty.
