How do we fight child poverty? (1)
Target (+ sub-targets) Realistic and measurable Monitoring of progress (European Semester? CSRs?) Commitment from EU Member states: Towards structural reforms A binding legislative text Funds National funds in line with commitment + EU top-up (use of ESF? Other funds? Dedicated fund?) Action! National (multi-level) plans to fight child poverty

Some principles that need to be respected: Integrated approach: IT’S NOT area-based solutions VERSUS people- based solutions. We have to find a way (ways) to make them converge Multi-level: all levels of governance should be implicated and cities should be key partners they make a real difference! This also means they should access funds adequately. Cross-sectoral: health, education, housing, social, etc.
