1 What is the Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) and Institute (CTSI)?
CTSAs are NIH-funded grants that support clinical and translational research and education at 60 US academic health centers. The CTSI is the structure, both physical and organizational, that administers the grant. The goal of Penn State CTSI is to be an engaged and responsive health science research and education enterprise that delivers on the promise of improved health.

2 What Can the CTSI Do for You?
The Penn State CTSI supports medical student research. Two students in the class of 2018 received $4200 awards spring 2015: Eric Brzozowski: “Comparisons of Clinical, Pharmacological and Molecular Effects of Intravenous and Oral Acetaminophen in Adults with Sub Arachnoid Hemorrhage” Chelsea Young: “ Phase II Trial of a Novel Treatment Approach-Epigenetic Modification-Using Vorinostat, Cladribine, and Erlotinib for Patients with Recurrent Glioblastoma Multiforme”

3 How and When to Apply Up to four awards will made Spring 2016.
Dr. Ropson will provide information and proposal templates when he makes the application announcement for all of the annual MSR awards, December, 2015.
