Attrition is the greatest nightmare for long-lasting incomes
How a pay plan is structured will determine the maximum percentage of your organization can break even or be in profit. Example: (This does not include retail sales.) Let’s say you purchase $100 of product. Then your pay plan pays you 10% or $10 per distributor. You would need to get 10 distributors to break even. 10 distributors at $10 per= $100. So in this example, only 1 out of every 11 distributors will be able to break even. Now these 10 new distributors you enrolled will each have to get 10 distributors each to break even, or 100 new distributors. Only 11, out of 111 distributors will break even. These 100 distributors must now get 10 new distributors each to break even, or 1,000 new distributors. Only 111 distributors out of 1,110 will break even. The percentage never changes! Eventually the distributors at the bottom attrition out! The Study found Binaries produce more attrition & have a greater company failure rate: (results found in the 3 ½ year study) Binaries have a higher attrition rate because a greater percentage of distributors will not be in profit. Why? Because of the gap in the pay structure before a distributor earns monthly income. The GREATEST FAILURE RATE for companies and distributors COME FROM BINARIES. The first binary was created in 1989 by American Gold Eagle. More than a thousand binaries failed in the early 90’s and only a hand full of companies have survived since then in their original markets. Companies that have survived such as USANA have had some of their top leaders leave and join other programs because of attrition and decreasing income. When a company goes out of business, generally its heavy hitters do not know why and make excuses for its failure instead of the compensation plan. Unfortunately most leaders do not understand the negatives of a binary pay plan. The 3 ½ year study helped Mike Akins understand the factors that lead to failure and success. See next slide for an Example of this.

Binary Structure Example:

In many binaries it is 1 in 12 of its distributors. Networkers, like in any other program, that can put a great number of distributors into this binary will earn nice incomes but a the expense of the majority of distributors. Illustration B As you can see, even though binary means two, as it branches out it has the a similar problem as all other compensation plans. This being the great majority of its distributors will never be in profit. The goal of deep penetration for leaders is negated by massive attrition caused when 90% of your distributors will never breakeven on their purchase or be in profit. Start-up bonuses: Many Bonuses are paid daily!
The first 10 points below address the retention/ attrition, having a higher percentage of your distributors in profit and getting into profit faster. 1. 2% bonus: 4Life pays less on the first level because you have less distributors on this level. 2. 25% bonus: This provides a maximum impact on the percentage of distributors in profit, helping them get into profit quickly. This is an incentive for distributors to help their first level team members. 3. 5% bonus: When you combine the uni-level bonuses, distributors are getting a 32% bonus within the first three levels. This is POWERFUL! This affects the retention/ attrition factor and being able to get into profit more quickly. 4. Fast Start bonus 25%: The enroller receives a 25% bonus on the first order of enrollee. 5. Power Pool bonus: 4Life sets aside two percent of its worldwide volume in a pool. When a distributor enrolls three individuals at the 100 LP level and these three distributors order 100 LP in their second month you earn a share in this pool. Some companies pay back 10% or 5% payouts within the uni-level
Some companies pay back 10% or 5% payouts within the uni-level. Take a look at what this company strategy looks like. In this example I will use a very well known compensation strategy of 10% payouts: 10% compensation off your front line. Let’s make it simple and have everyone do 100 PV, CV, LP You 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 In order for you to break even you have to enroll 10 people! But then what do your front line members have to do to break even? They have to each enroll 10 people each. 10x10= 100 people on your third level. So now how many people do you have in profit?? 1!! Just YOU!! Now you have 10 people broke even but 100 people not into profit. Yikes!! This is a structural factor that cannot be beat! No matter how many members you enroll in your organization there will always be 1 out of 111 people into profit! How many people do you think will stay in a company if they are not able to break even? Does this type of compensation structure give you long term stability? NO!

Upper mid-level leader
This attrition will eventually reach the top 1% heavy hitter and they will jump to another program. Sometimes it takes 5 to 10 years for the attrition to reach the heavy hitter but it will always reach the top eventually. Have you ever seen a heavy hitter jump to another program? I know I have. Why would they leave if they were making a steady income? I know I would not leave if I were Getting a large amount month after month! Becoming a heavy hitter is not easy. There is a lot of time and sacrifice that goes into Earning a heavy hitter income. I would stay put after all that hard work unless I faced a lot of Attrition and knew I would lose it. Then I would have to jump ship before my reputation was tainted. High level leaders Upper mid-level leader Mid-level leader High- level grassroots Now the high- level grassroots leaders have to rebuild. They will for a while, but they too will grow tired of re-building. When the grassroots members do not stay in the mid-level grassroots members will have to keep re-building their downlines. They will tolerate attrition for a while but eventually will grow tired of having to keep rebuilding. They will move on. Mid-Level grassroots Grassroots If the grassroot/ start-up members are not able to get into profit, they will not stay.

Mid-Level Leader Bonuses:
An important building block in your future income 11. Diamond 6% Infinity bonus: 4Life pays a 6% infinity bonus that runs from the 4th level down through the 3rd level of the next Diamond in that particular leg. This bonus targets grassroots leaders and the mid-level networker on their way up. This six percent can run down a dozen levels or more. 12. Rank Requirements: Associate Position: There are two requirements for achieving the Associate position. Purchase at least 50LP per month. Purchase a distributor kit. Leader Position: There are four requirements for reaching the Leader position. Purchase 100LP in product each month. Enroll four distributors that purchase 100LP per month. At least two of these distributors need to be on your first level. Leader 4Life: The Leader 4Life position has the following requirements. (These requirements must be fulfilled at the time of enrollment. A Leader4Life does not have to personally enroll a certain number of distributors for qualification.)

Purchase 100LP in product each month. Enroll twelve distributors that purchase 100LP per month. At least six of these distributors must be on your first level. Purchase a distributor kit. You must have a total three-level volume of at least 20,000LP each month. (uncompressed) You must have three separate legs with a qualified International Diamond in each leg. You must have at least 250,000LP in overall organization. Platinum Diamond: All requirements and rewards for this position are the same as for the Gold International Diamond except for the total organizational volume of 1,000,000LP. Participate in Platinum bonus. One percent of 4Life’s international volume is divided between Platinum's each month.
