You will be graded on: Handwriting Organization Accuracy of Information Drawing Diagrams Showing Your Work

Showing Your Work Means…
Use Numbers to Explain Your Thinking. Use Words to Explain the Steps you take. Circle Important Numbers and Answers. Draw Diagrams, Pictures, and Tables. Underline Vocabulary Highlight or Color Important Information. You will be given a few minutes to copy down this information creatively and paste it on the inside front cover of your notebook.

What Makes Your Notebook Interactive?
During some lessons and notes you will be asked to create and/or paste in charts, handouts, drawings and other things that will help you understand the concept we are learning.

Pop Quizzes You will be given pop quizzes throughout the semester and will be allowed to use your math notebook as a reference. Therefore, filling them out correctly will not only be expected but useful! These Quizzes will be random and will not be posted on your weekly syllabus. All Quizzes are ten points so they must be made up if you are absent.

How your Notebooks will be graded.
All notebooks will be turned in on the day of a test and will be worth up to 16 points each time they are turned in and graded. They will be graded on: Neatness and Organization. Content Accuracy Required Elements (handouts, vocabulary, ECT.) Diagrams and Illustrations.

Why is an Interactive Notebook Useful?
Sometimes it’s hard to remember what you read, but using interactive notebooks will help you. You have the ability to create them in a way that makes sense to you and is in line with your learning style. They are fun to make and make learning easy.
