METADATA – EXTENDING OUR SYSTEM TO MEET FIJI’S SDI
As part of Fiji developing its Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) ALL of the Stakeholders will have to agree on the definition of the Metadata Standards; Unification of the Naming conventions, Lookups, & Matching Codes; Symantics and Symbology; and the Sharing Standards.
As part of Open Spatial’s solution our “Self Describing Data Model” schema already has a lot of Metadata capture built in and metadata captured in Munsys. This Metadata definition will need to be expanded to meet the requirements for Fiji’s SDI.
